WiFi聯盟於2020年1月3日將6GHz頻段的IEEE 802.11ax稱之為Wi-Fi6E。
除了目前已使用的2.4GHz和5GHz頻段外,且向下相容a/b/g/n/ac,帶寬是5 GHz頻段的三倍。
並增加了7個額外160MHz通道,增大頻寬,從而能夠以低延遲提供更高效能。

On 3rd January 2020, The Wi-Fi Alliance just introduced Wi-Fi 6E based on 802.11ax protocol that works with 6 GHz.
Including the current frequency bands in 2.4GHz and 5GHz, which are compatible with a / b / g / n / ac.
The bandwidth in 6GHz is three times wider compared to 5 GHz frequency band,
and with additional 7 extra 160MHz channels to extend the bandwidth, result in providing higher performance with low latency.
